PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid oral formulation in which the elution of a water-soluble active ingredient of a drug (&alpha) included in a microcapsule (A) can be inhibited, and the adhesion of the ingredient (A) to a container can be inhibited.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a liquid oral formulation in which a microcapsule (A) and xanthan gum (B) are dispersed in an aqueous medium. The microcapsule (A) has a water-soluble active ingredient of a drug (&alpha) included in a coating ingredient (&bgr), and has a volume median diameter of 150-1000 &mum. The coating ingredient (&bgr) has a melting point of 50°C or more, and is at least one kind selected from the group consisting of ester of a higher fatty acid and a higher alcohol, vegetable oil and hydrogenated oil thereof, animal oil and hydrogenated oil thereof, a higher fatty acid and a higher alcohol. Preferably, the liquid oral formulation has a viscosity at 25°C is 10-1000 mPa s. Preferably, the liquid oral formulation is stored in a glass container.SELECTED DRAWING: None
