An integrated blood glucose monitoring device is envisaged. The integrated blood glucose monitoring device comprises a housing which includes a lancing section, a test strip holding section, a pre-amplifier and filtering circuit, a metering section, a display and a repository. The lancing section has formations for holding a lancing device and at least one lancet. The test strip holding section has a holder for holding a plurality of test strips, wherein each of the plurality of test strips is configured to collect a blood sample thereon and obtain a corresponding current signal. The pre-amplifier and filtering circuit receives, filters and amplifies the current signal to obtain a filtered and amplified signal. The metering section has a microcontroller which receives and processes the filtered and amplified signal to obtain a value of glucose level present in the blood sample which is then stored in the repository and displayed on the display.
