PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply measure skeletal muscles without imposing an enormous burden on a subject when measuring the muscle characteristics of the skeletal muscles and measure various types of muscle characteristics in the skeletal muscles.SOLUTION: A vibration detection section 120 detects vibrations generated in the skeletal muscles 210 based on light illuminated from respective light illumination elements 111-1 to 111-n for every light illumination element, and CPU 150 calculates attenuation coefficients (moduli of decay) and acoustic velocity of the respective vibrations based on the vibrations for every light illumination element detected by the vibration detection section 120, and calculates the muscle age and the degree of the trained muscles, or the muscle characteristics of the skeletal muscles 210 based on the calculated attenuation coefficients (moduli of decay) and the acoustic velocity of the respective vibrations.COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT【課題】骨格筋の筋特性の測定に際して被験体に多大な負荷をかけること無く簡易な測定を行えるようにすると共に、骨格筋における多種多様の筋特性の測定を行えるようにする。【解決手段】各光照射素子111-1~111-nから照射された光に基づいて骨格筋210内で発生した振動を各光照射素子毎に振動検出部120で検出し、CPU150において、振動検出部120で検出した各光照射素子毎の各振動に基づいて当該各振動の減衰係数(減衰率)及び音速を算出し、算出した各振動の減衰係数(減衰率)及び音速に基づいて骨格筋210の筋特性である筋年齢や筋錬度を算出する。【選択図】図1
