According to an embodiment of the present invention, a mobile terminal of a watch type comprises: a memory to store audio data and meta data of the audio data a sensing unit to acquire first information for a heart rate of a prescribed user and second information for elapsed time after the prescribed user starts an exercise and a control unit. The control unit responds to the acquired first information and the prescribed user to store third information for inputted target exercise time in the memory, uses the first information and the third information stored in the memory to determine exercise time of a plurality of exercise steps making up the target exercise time, determines audio data assigned to each exercise step among the audio data stored in the memory based on the first information stored in the memory, the exercise time for each exercise step, and the meta data of the audio data, recognizes a current exercise step of the prescribed user based on the acquired first information, the second information, and the exercise time for each exercise step, and outputs first audio data corresponding to the recognized current exercise step among the audio data assigned to each exercise step through a sound output unit.본 발명의 일 실시예에 의한 이동 단말기는, 와치 타입의 이동 단말기에 있어서, 오디오 데이터 및 상기 오디오 데이터의 메타데이터를 저장하는 메모리, 기 설정된 사용자의 심박수에 대한 제1 정보 및 상기 기 설정된 사용자의 운동 시작 후 경과 시간에 대한 제2 정보를 획득하는 센싱부 및 제어부를 포함하고, 상기 제어부는, 상기 획득된 제1 정보 및 상기 기 설정된 사용자에 대응하여 입력된 목표 운동 시간에 대한 제3 정보를 상기 메모리에 저장하고, 상기 메모리에 저장된 제1 정보 및 상기 제3 정보를 이용하여, 상기 목표 운동 시간을 구성하는 복수의 운동 단계 각각의 운동 시간을 결정하고, 상기 메모리에 저장된 제1 정보, 상기 복수의 운동 단계 각각의 운동 시간 및 상기 오디오 데이터의 메타데이터에 기초하여, 상기 메모리에 저장된 오디오 데이터 중 상기 각 운동 단계에 할당되는 오디오 데이터를 결정하고, 상기 획득된 제1 정보, 상기 제2 정보 및 상기 각 운동 단계의 운동 시간에 기초하여, 상기 기 설정된 사용자의 현재 운동 단계를 인식하고, 상기 각 운동 단계에 할당된 오디오 데이터 중 상기 인식된 현재 운동 단계에 대응하는 제1 오디오 데이터를 음향 출력부를 통해 출력한다.
