PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mower constituted to enlarge a reaping height adjustment range in a reaping height adjusting mechanism determining the reaping height by a grounding body.SOLUTION: A shift shaft 61 coaxial with a side driving shaft center Y is supported in a vertically movable manner to a side gear case 41 of a side housing 13, and a cylindrical side driving shaft 62 externally fitted to the lower part of the shift shaft 61 is provided with a side blade 14. The lower end, projected downward from the side driving shaft 62, of the shift shaft 61 is provided with the grounding body 72. An operating shaft 77 is provided in an attitude parallel with the side driving shaft center Y, and the upper end of the operating shaft 77 is provided with a manually-operated rotating operation arm 79. A shifter 78 is screwed to a threaded part 77A of the lower end of the operating shaft 77, and the shifter 78 is engaged with an annular groove part of the shift shaft 61.
