The method further includes the step of accumulating the cleaning solution and recycling the cleaning solution after it is used to clean the medical device. In the accumulating step, ozone is introduced into a liquid reservoir t to mix with the cleaning solution. In another aspect, the invention includes using a cleaning solution to clean a medical device and utilizing ozone gas to contact the medical device cleaned with the cleaning solution to achieve the goal of cleaning the medical device. The cleaning device is characterized in including an ozone gas generator and a cleaning unit configured to clean the medical device with the ozone gas generated by the ozone generator. The cleaning device may further include a control unit configured to control the ozone concentration.
