PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope including an illumination part capable of efficiently guiding the light emitted from an LED package into an optical fiber bundle by a simple structure.SOLUTION: The endoscope has such a structure that the light emitted from the LED package 31 is guided from the proximal end to the distal end of the optical fiber bundle 22 to be used as illumination light. The endoscope includes a holder part 40 which can be fixed on the mounted surface of a circuit board 32 on which the LED package is mounted for holding the proximal end of the optical fiber bundle. In the endoscope, the holder part includes: a fitting part 43 to be fitted to the outer periphery of the LED package a guide hole bored along an axis orthogonally crossing the mounted surface for inserting the proximal end of the optical fiber bundle and a fixing member 36 for fixing the proximal end of the optical fiber bundle inserted into the guide hole to the holder part.
