PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device capable of driving a balloon catheter for an IABP in a range that an outer periphery of a balloon does not come in contact with an inner wall of a blood vessel regardless of the size of a blood vessel diameter of a patient.SOLUTION: A driving device of a balloon catheter for an IABP includes: a pressure generation device 12 for generating the pressure for expanding and deflating a balloon a pressure detection device 13 for detecting the inner pressure of the balloon a timing control part 15a for controlling the timing of the expansion and deflation of the balloon according to a heart rate of a patient in an actual operation that assists the patients cardiac function a blood vessel contact pressure derivation part 15b for generating pressure so that the balloon expands from a deflated state, and deriving the blood vessel contact pressure at which the balloon is estimated to have come in contact with a blood vessel wall based on a change in the detected inner pressure of the balloon, prior to the actual operation and a maximum pressure setting part 15c for setting the pressure smaller than the blood vessel contact pressure derived by the blood vessel contact pressure derivation part 15b as the maximum pressure generated by the pressure generation device 12 in the actual operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT【課題】患者の血管径の大小によらず、バルーンの外周が血管の内壁に当接しない範囲でIABP用バルーンカテーテルを駆動し得る駆動装置を提供すること。【解決手段】バルーンを膨張および収縮させる圧力を発生する圧力発生装置12と、バルーンの内圧を検出する圧力検出装置13と、患者の心機能を補助する本運転時に、該患者の心拍に応じて、バルーンの膨張および収縮のタイミングを制御するタイミング制御部15aと、本運転に先立ち、バルーンが収縮した状態から膨張するように圧力を発生させ、検出された該バルーンの内圧の変化に基づいて、該バルーンが血管壁に当接したと推定される血管当接圧を導出する血管当接圧導出部15bと、血管当接圧導出部15bにより導出された前記血管当接圧よりも小さい圧力を、本運転時に圧力発生装置12が発生する最大圧力として設定する最大圧力設定部15cと、を有する。【選択図】図2
