A method comprising: attaching a luer fitted hypodermic syringe (40) having a plunger (42) to a syringe adaptor (50)； connecting said syringe adaptor (50) having said syringe (40) attached thereto, to a vial adaptor (30), having a drug containing vial (10) attached thereto； retracting said plunger (42), thus drawing a part of the contents of said vial (10) into said syringe (40)； storing the drug left in the vial (10) by storing the vial (10) and vial adaptor (30) joined thereto in a suitable facility for further use, the vial adaptor (30) being vented to the atmosphere in a manner which prevents release to the atmosphere of possibly harmful contents of said vial (10).
