Disclosed is a novel tourniquet comprising a soft bandage, a tourniquet main body with a finger compressing member, and a pad sheet. An adapter is provided in the center portion of the main body in the longitudinal direction for attaching a pressing part of the soft bandage on it in the manner the tourniquet main body is able to freely move on the pressing part, whereas the pad sheet is provided at one side of the connecting portion of the soft bandage. With this structure, by wrapping the soft bandage around the patient body and settle it down on a proper position with the connecting portion. The nursing personnel may remove the tourniquet main body on the bleeding portion by observing the pressing part of the soft bandage so as to forcibly compress the main body thereby making the finger compressing member to seal the wounded portion and stop bleeding.
