Such means may comprise a surface which defines with a side surface of the shank a tapering space for receiving soil, dirt or other particulate material which in use becomes wedged between the holder and the side surface or surfaces of the shank or tyne. In another arrangement, a resilient wire, rod or other wedging member is received within the tapering space. In yet a further arrangement, the holder includes at least one clamping screw which can be advanced into engagement with the adjacent side surface of the shank to clamp the holder laterally to the shank. The present invention also provides a tool holder for use in the tool mounting assembly.
