The invention relates to a method for assembling a total knee prosthesis, wherein portions of femoral (2) and tibial implants, which are referred to as common portions (3,4,5,161) and are each attachable in a femur and in a tibia of a knee, respectively, are assembled, and interchangeable portions are selected for adjustable assembly onto said common portions for each implant, respectively, depending on the type of prosthesis desired, some (7,81) for a first posterior stabilization assembly configuration, and the others (9,82) for a second rotary hinge assembly configuration.Procédé de montage dune prothèse totale du genou tel quon assemble des parties dimplants fémoral (2) et tibial, dites communes (3,4,5,161) aptes à être fixées chacune respectivement dans un fémur et un tibia dun genou, et on choisit de monter sur ces parties communes, dune manière modulable et respectivement pour chaque implant, des parties interchangeables en fonction du type de prothèse que lon veut obtenir, les unes (7,81) pour une première configuration de montage dite de postéro-stabilisation, et les autres (9,82) pour une deuxième configuration de montage dite de pivot rotatoire.
