PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fruit and vegetable container into which carbon dioxide can be supplied, and which causes less deterioration of ingredients the fruit and vegetables contain, and to provide a method for storing fruit and vegetables.SOLUTION: A fruit and vegetable container is equipped with a stop valve, stores vegetables inside, and is charged with carbon dioxide. The fruit and vegetable container preferably includes a bag made of a low gas-permeable polymer, although not necessarily limited, in this regard. A method for storing fruit and vegetables includes storing vegetables in the fruit and vegetable container, and charging carbon dioxide into the fruit and vegetable container equipped with the stop valve.
