This device is designed to be implanted through blood vessels and is made from shape memory materials and electrically conducting elements. As such, the device utilises is designed such that it has multiple states - a retracted state for device implantation and an expanded state for anchorage and scaffolding of the conducting element to the vessel wall once in the desired cortical location. The ability to use shape memory materials and flexible printed circuit boards for wireless telemetry is also disclosed, as are implantation methods and locations of the telemetry coils.4/6 113 112 100 Figure 10 113 112 Figure 11 110 100 122 122 122 122 Figure 12
