PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting base effectively installed at a prescribed position when transplanting seedlings of aquatic plants to a planting ground, and voluntarily decayed when a prescribed period of time has passed after installed and to provide a planting base unit employing the planting base.SOLUTION: The planting base 10 is provided with a housing part 12 housing aquatic plants to be planted, is obtained by molding kneaded material, and has self-decay property.
