The present invention is a technique for improving antibiotic property and the safety of a biodegradable or non-biodegradable medical product used in surgery, and is a technique for confirming biological safety of a medical product through a test on whether or not the toxicity is expressed in the body, as well as improving antibiotic and anti-inflammatory properties of the medical product, by containing, in the medical product, caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE), which is an active component of propolis.본 발명은 수술 시 이용되는 생분해성 또는 비 생분해성 의료용 제품의 항균성 및 안전성 증진을 위한 기술로서, 의료용 제품이 프로폴리스의 활동성분인 카페인산에스테르(caffeic acid phenethyl ester, CAPE)을 포함하도록 함으로써, 의료용 제품의 항균 및 항염성을 높이는 것은 물론, 인체 내에서 독성의 발현 여부를 시험을 통해 확인하여 생물학적 안전성을 확인하는 기술이다.
