Multiple electrical cartridge terminals (14) are used for electrically connecting the flashlamp cartridge with respect to a socket (20). Multiple thermal cartridge terminals (13) are used for thermally connecting the flashlamp cartridge to the socket. A cooling device components are used for the Peltier cooling device (11,12) of the flashlamp.
