The present invention relates to an anticancer composition, containing a silkworm excreta extract having anticancer activity. More specifically, the present invention relates to a silkworm excreta extract, a silkworm excreta fraction obtained by fractionizing the silkworm excreta extract, and an anticancer composition containing a compound obtained by isolating the silkworm excreta fraction. According to the present invention, the silkworm excreta extract, the silkworm excreta fraction obtained by fractionizing the same, or vomifoliol and stigmasterol which are compounds obtained by isolating the same exhibit excellent inhibitory ability on cancer cell proliferation, thereby being useful as a novel anticancer agent derived from natural substances.본 발명은 항암 활성을 갖는 잠분 추출물을 함유하는 항암 조성물에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 잠분 추출물, 잠분 추출물을 분획하여 얻은 잠분 분획물, 잠분 분획물로부터 분리되어 수득되는 화합물을 포함하는 항암 조성물에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 따른 잠분 추출물, 이를 분획하여 얻은 잠분 분획물, 또는 이로부터 분리되어 수득되는 화합물인 보미폴리올(vomifoliol) 및 스티그마스테롤(stigmasterol)은 우수한 암 세포 증식 억제능을 나타내므로, 천연물 유래의 신규 항암제로 이용이 가능하다.
