PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel that realizes improvement of accuracy in positioning of a spool relative to a spool shaft and can reliably fix the spool and the spool shaft.SOLUTION: A double bearing reel 10 comprises a reel body 11, a spool shaft 20 and a spool 14. The spool shaft 20 is fitted rotatably to the reel body 11. The spool 14 is fitted non-rotatably to the spool shaft 20. The spool 14 has an insertion hole 64d. The spool shaft 20 is inserted into the insertion hole 64d. The spool shaft 20 has a fitted part 120. The fitted part 120 is inserted into the insertion hole 64d and is provided opposite to the insertion hole 64d. The fitted part 120 has a first region R1 and a second region R2. A first gap D1 is provided between the first region R1 and the insertion hole 64d.
