PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a harmful substance removing material, which is stable in the fixing amount of an antibody from the immersion tip of a carrier to an antibody solution to the immersion terminal thereof even when the carrier is continuously immersed in the antibody solution and stably develops the effect of the antibody at any part in the immersion direction of the carrier, using an antibody for specifically capturing a harmful substance, and the manufactured harmful substance removing material.SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the harmful substance removing material by continuously immersing the carrier in an antibody-containing solution to support the antibody on the carrier, an antibody-containing replenishing solution is at least once added in a process for continuously immersing the carrier in the antibody-containing solution and the concentration of the antibody of the antibody-containing replenishing solution is made higher than that of the antibody of the antibody-containing solution before the carrier is immersed.
