To provide an oil-in-water type emulsion cosmetic which, when in use, has a sense of use with less squeakiness or stickiness, significantly improves moisturizing effect due to excellent skin affinity, imparts firmness to the skin and can make unevenness of the skin such as fine wrinkles inconspicuous.SOLUTION: There is provided an oil-in-water type emulsion cosmetic which comprises N-acetylglucosamine and hydrogenated lecithin and substantially contains no other surfactant. The oil-in-water type emulsion cosmetic preferably contains 1.0 to 5.0 mass% of the N-acetylglucosamine and 0.1 to 5.0 mass% of the hydrogenated lecithin. The content ratio of the N-acetylglucosamine and the hydrogenated lecithin preferably 1:5 to 50:1 in terms of mass ratio.
