An imaging device according to the present invention includes: an imaging unit configured to capture an imaging object and output an imaging signal； an illumination unit including a plurality of light sources configured to emit respective beams of light of a plurality of colors different from one another； a color separation unit configured to separate the imaging signal into a plurality of signals corresponding to the plurality of colors； an interest color setting unit configured to set a color of interest as an interest color； and a light emission balance controller configured to control a light emission balance of the plurality of light sources by increasing a light quantity of the light source corresponding to the interest color set by the interest color setting unit based on the signal separated by the color separation unit.
