PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant cultivation rack and a plant growing unit, which are capable of cultivating plants efficiently by arranging plants compactly and eliminating wasted space.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, a plant cultivating rack 40 comprises placing plates 50 on which cultivating trays 30 are placed, an illumination device 60 disposed on each of the placing plates 50 to illuminate plants thereon. Each of the placing plates 50 comprises: a pair of first placing parts 51 each having a top side on which a fruit-growing tray 31 is placed and a second placing part 52 having a top side on which a leaf vegetable growing tray 32 is placed, arranged between the pair of the first placing parts 51, and placed at a position higher than the first placing parts 51.
