PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a pants type absorptive article, for efficiently manufacturing the pants type absorptive article excellent in a stuffiness preventing property.SOLUTION: The method is for manufacturing the pants type absorptive article 1 including a belly-side outer cover body 2A, a back-side outer cover body 2B, an absorptive body 3, and a pair of side seal sections 4, 4. Two belt-like sheets 122, 123 are piled up interposing a plurality of elastic members 24. On the two belt-like sheets 122, 123, a bonding section 26 is formed in such a manner that at least three bonding section columns L1-L7 in which bonding sections 24 are arranged in a serial state are formed and the bonding section columns are each positioned on both sides of the plurality of elastic members 24. The obtained composite sheet 100 is divided so as to bisect the bonding section 26c of one bonding section column L4, the absorptive body 3 is fixed so as to be bridged to two obtained narrow width belt-like sheets 102A, 102B, an obtained absorptive article continuous body 101 is folded into two to form the side seal sections 4, 4, and is cut to obtain the individual absorptive article 1.
