The present invention relates to a composition comprising ingredients with following properties: at least one ingredient having antioxidative properties and/or antioxidant enzyme inducing properties at least one ingredient having anti-inflammatory properties at least one ingredient having immune modulating properties and at least one ingredient having neuronal hormone modulating properties. The composition may be used as a dietetic food or in the prevention and/or treatment of diabetes, preferably diabetes Type II or Type I, and the secondary diseases associated thereto.
