The sprayer has a production unit for producing a fuel gas and air mixture at high displacement speed. Upstream and downstream grills (6, 7) are placed transversely in a path of the mixture. The mixture is ignited between the grills by an ignition unit, where the mixture is directed into a conduit (17). A straight venturi (2) has a main axis coaxial to axes of the grills and the conduit. Length of the venturi is strongly reduced with respect to a flow of gas injected in a ratio ranging between 0.15 and 0.3 when length is expressed in mm and the flow of gas is expressed in grams per hour.Le but de l'invention est d'avoir un désherbeur à gaz sans flamme visible mais avec un flux d'air chaud extrêmement rapide afin de travailler à une hauteur du sol jusqu'à 15 cm sans perte d'efficacité. L'invention conduit à ce résultat en combinant un dimensionnement avantageux du venturi (2), un accrochage de flamme à 2 étages optimisé comportant 2 grilles (6,7) et une tuyère (17) de taille réduite.
