The present invention relates to an extravasation detection method and an extravasation detection device and, more specifically, to an extravasation detection method and an extravasation detection device which use a change in bioimpedance created when a chemical liquid extravasates to quickly and accurately sense extravasation to minimize damage generated by extravasation. The extravasation detection method applies an alternating current to the body of a patient into which an intravenous syringe is inserted, measures a voltage and a current of the body in accordance with the alternating current, uses the voltage and the current of the body to calculate bioimpedance, and determines whether extravasation occurs based on a change degree of the bioimpedance over time.
