The invention relates to the field of agriculture, in particular to the protection of plants against larvae of click beetles (Elateridae: Coleoptera), on the account of increasing the role of resistant plants (tubers) of potatoes. The applied method for evaluating the resistance of potato varieties against the larvae of click beetles (wireworms) includes sampling, distributing the tubers into fractions, analysis of damage of the tubers of an unstable reference and a defining variety in the sample.
