A perineal prostate biopsy apparatus comprising a cannula for reaching a prostate gland of an adult human male through his perineum； and a coaxial needle comprising a hollow needle shaft having an open piercing tip at its distal end and being arranged to lie within the cannula so that the piercing tip protrudes from a distal end of the cannula； and, a stylet adapted to lie within the hollow needle shaft so that a distal tip of the stylet closes the piercing tip of the needle.La présente invention concerne un appareil de biopsie périnéale de la prostate comprenant une canule permettant d'atteindre une glande prostatique d'un homme adulte à travers son périnée ； et une aiguille coaxiale comprenant une tige d'aiguille creuse pourvue d'une pointe de perçage ouverte au niveau de son extrémité distale et disposée de manière à se trouver à l'intérieur de la canule de sorte que la pointe de perçage fait saillie à partir d'une extrémité distale de la canule ； et, un stylet conçu pour se trouver à l'intérieur de la tige d'aiguille creuse, de sorte qu'une pointe distale du stylet referme la pointe de perçage de l'aiguille.
