PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operation efficiency by improving complication of the setting operation of a user when designating a plurality of regions of interest and performing measurement with an acoustic wave probe.SOLUTION: The acoustic wave acquisition apparatus includes: a probe for measuring an acoustic wave propagating from a subject scanning means for moving the probe region designation means for receiving the designation of a plurality of regions of interest in the subject and trajectory determination means for determining a plurality of designation measurement regions that are regions in which the probe measures the acoustic wave on the basis of the positions of the regions of interest, and determining a trajectory when the probe moves by the scanning means on the basis of the positions of the plurality of designation measurement regions.
