The present invention relates to the use of natural spider silk fibers or artificial fibers derived from spider silk for the manufacture of artificial hair. The mechanical, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties of spider silk fibers and a similar texture to human hair make it possible to consider the use of this material for the manufacture of artificial hair, whether for implantation or to a fixation on the scalp or for the manufacture of hair prostheses.
