PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by reducing a burden on an operator when capturing a tomographic image by taking a guide wire and an imaging core in and out in a single lumen area of a catheter.SOLUTION: The tomographic apparatus captures tomographic images using a catheter including: a first area that has a first lumen in which a guide wire passes, and a second lumen in which an imaging core passes, the imaging core having a signal transmission/reception part for tomography and a second area that is connected to a distal end side of the first area and has a third lumen communicated to the first and second lumens. The tomographic apparatus acquires a tomographic image using the signal transmission/reception part, determines whether or not the guide wire is included in the acquired tomographic image, and determines a permission/non-permission to longitudinally move the imaging core in the catheter on the basis of the determination result.
