An absorptive article in which relative movement between a body section and anabsorption body when the article is folded is minimized. The absorptive articleworn on a user has the body section and the absorption body provided with an absorptionmember for absorbing liquid and having a longitudinal direction, a lateral direction,and a thickness direction. The absorption body is superposed on the user sideof the body section. One end in the longitudinal direction of the absorptionbody is joined at a first joint section to the body section, and the other end isconnected at a second joint section to the body section. Between the first jointsection and the second joint section, there is provided a restriction sectionfor restricting relative movement between the body section and the absorptionbody occurring when the article is folded with the body section and the absorptionbody superposed on each other.
