PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a first agent for hair deformation which is excellent in soft feeling with respect to a hair, when hair deformation treatment accompanied by heating at a high temperature is carried out, and to provide a treatment method for hair modification using the first agent.SOLUTION: The first agent for hair deformation is applied to the hair in a reduction step in the treatment method for hair deformation comprising the reduction step, and a heating step in which the hair after the reduction step and a heating element having a set temperature of 70°C or higher are brought into contact with each other, wherein the reducing agent and N-acetylglucosamine are blended in the agent.
