The present disclosure relates to a composition for oral hygiene for alleviating the symptoms associated with lack of oral hygiene. The composition for oral hygiene retards the production of plaque on the teeth, reduces or eliminates tooth decay, aids in ulcer healing and also moistens and lubricates the oral cavity and acts as a saliva substitute. The composition for oral hygiene contains a fluid medium A comprising sodium chloride IP, sodium benzoate IP, zinc chloride IP and calcium chloride IP and a fluid medium B comprising sodium chloride IP, sodium benzoate IP, sodium fluoride IP, monosodium phosphate IP and disodium phosphate IP along with a predetermined amount of diluent. The present disclosure further provides a process for preparing the composition for oral hygiene. A portable and easy to operate oral hygiene composition kit is also provided in the present disclosure.
