The present invention discloses a method for preserving natural turf that has been pulled up, characterised in that said method comprises the steps of: a) pulling up the sods of natural turf； b) laying out the sods on a planar surface； c) applying a preservation composition comprising from 1 wt.% to 99 wt.% glycerine； and d) drying the sods obtained in step c). Said method allows said natural turf to retain its natural or living appearance over a long period of time.
