PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus accurately and surely acquiring a reference image of a scope at a place other than a plant or the like, and to provide a setting method of the reference image of the endoscope apparatus.SOLUTION: This endoscope apparatus 1 includes a body section 4 to which the scope having an image pickup device at a distal end portion of an insertion portion 7 is detachably attachable, a video signal processing section 22, a display section 5 and a control section 21.
