The apparatus for imaging a breast includes a first X-ray emission unit configured to emit an X-ray of a first dose to a breast, a second X-ray emission unit configured to emit one or more X-rays of a second dose to the breast, the first dose being greater than the second dose, an X-ray detection unit configured to detect the X-ray of the first dose or the one or more X-rays of the second dose to thereby generate one or more image frames regarding the breast, and an image generation unit configured to generate image data regarding the breast based on the generated one or more image frames.
