A rodent trap, comprises a housing 2 with a lid (Fig.1, 3). Inside the housing are two counter rotating rollers 16, 17 with a predefined gap in between the two motor driven rollers. The housing includes an opening 32, (Fig. 3, 34). The housing also houses a trigger 30 which is activated in the presence of a rodent which causes the counter rotating rollers to rotate drawing the rodent into the gap. This crushes the rodent. The rodent is expelled into a tray 40 in the bottom of the housing which can be removed to retrieve a dead rodent. The rollers may be movable to alter the gap between them to accommodate different sized rodents.
