PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for detecting movement capable of being used for monitoring the movement of a joint or a deformed surface.SOLUTION: A system for detecting movement can be used for detecting the movement of a portion of a person such as a hand or a leg. The system includes: (a) a power supply (b) two or more contactors capable of being directly or indirectly installed to a plurality of portions moving relatively to each other of the person or an object and (c) electric members not expandable/retractable in the long direction, electrically communicating with each other. The electric member can be directly or indirectly supported by guide structures. The guide structure is configured to minimize the deformation of the member in a direction crossing the long direction of the member. A distance between the contactors varies by the relative movement between the contactors.
