PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for supporting a dog or a cat, having walking difficulty due to the weakened legs, to enable it to freely walk by itself without its owners help.SOLUTION: The apparatus includes a pair of post units 1, 2 first connecting members 3 for connecting the post units to each other a first horizontal guide rail 5 provided at the first connecting members and extending between the pair of post units a first slider slidably mounted to the first guide rail a movable support body 7 mounted to the first slider a second horizontal guide rail provided at the movable support body and orthogonal to the first guide rail a second slider slidably mounted to the second guide rail ropes 13, 16 suspended from the second slider hooks 18 for connecting a harness 21 for the dog or cat to the ropes and guide walls 19a, 19b for guiding the walking of the dog or cat.
