According to an embodiment of the present invention, disclosed are a system and a method for diagnosing a dental disease using a dental image of an object to be photographed by irradiating visible light as a light source. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the system comprises: a first device for acquiring the dental image of the object and a second device connected to the first device by wire or wirelessly, and generating and storing a database (DB) based on the dental image received from the first device. The first device includes: a light source setting unit for setting a wavelength of a light source to be irradiated onto the inside of the mouth of the object a light irradiation unit for irradiating light onto the inside of the mouth based on the set light source an image acquisition unit for acquiring an image with respect to the mouth onto which light is irradiated and a communication unit for communicating with another device which can be communicated.
