To provide an ultrasonograph which maximally utilizes characteristics of a phase invasion method and so as to allow proper extraction of a harmonic wave component and selective extraction of a fundamental wave component.
SOLUTION: The ultrasonograph transmits a first ultrasonic pulse and a second ultrasonic pulse in which polarity of the first ultrasonic pulse is substantially inverted and receives a first echo signal corresponding to the first ultrasonic pulse and a second echo signal corresponding to the second ultrasonic pulse. For at least one of the waveforms of the first echo signal and the second echo signal and the waveform is adjusted by executing gain adjustment-based ON a predetermined gain value for every depth from the surface of a subject and by filtering with a predetermined filter coefficient for every depth from the surface of the subject. The first echo signal and the second echo signal after the adjustment are added and so as to extract a secondarily generated harmonic wave and at least a part of the transmitted ultrasonic waves selectively according to the depth from the surface of the subject in the subject.
