Extracellular matrix (ECM) constructs having a biodegradable support scaffold and an anchoring mechanism, which includes a plurality of biodegradable microneedles that are capable of piercing tissue and anchoring therein. In a prefeired embodiment, the support scaffold and anchoring mechanism comprise an ECM material.
