The present invention relates to an assembly for marking a selectedintracorporeal sitewithin tissue of a patient. The assembly comprises a delivery tube having adischargeopening and an inner lumen extending to the discharge opening a plurality ofmarkerbodies which are slidably disposed within the inner lumen of the deliverytube at least onemarker body which is slidably disposed within the inner lumen of the deliverytube andwhich is formed at least in part of sintered metallic material a ramp withinthe delivery tubewhich is inclined to an elongated discharge port and which is configured todischargemarker bodies out of the elongated discharge port and a plunger which isslidablydisposed in part within the inner lumen and which is configured to move themarker bodiesup the ramp and out of the elongated discharge port in the delivery tube.
