PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To classify body shapes of persons passing through a given place by measuring their feature sizes, and consequently allow personal identification within a small group such as residences or the like.SOLUTION: An identification device is constituted in the following. A dimension sensor 20 outputs dimensional data obtained by measuring the feature sizes of persons passing through a given surface. A dimensional data processing part 31 has a function to estimate the waist of the person passing through based on the dimensional data outputted from the dimension sensor 20. A registered information memory part 34 stores the feature sizes of the person to be identified depending on the person.
