A surgical instrument comprising:a housing (20) a handle assembly including a fixed handle (50) and a movable handle (40) a rotating assembly (70) including a rotation wheel (72) that is rotatably disposed but longitudinally constrained within a vertically-oriented slot (26) defined within the housing (20) a shaft (80) extending distally from the housing (20) an end effector assembly (100) comprising opposing jaw members (110,120) pivotably coupled to one another, disposed at a distal end of the shaft (80) a drive assembly (140) including a drive bar (142) slidably disposed within the shaft (80), a knife assembly (160) including a knife bar (162) slidably disposed within the drive bar (142) a deployable assembly (200) selectively movable relative to the end effector assembly (100) between a storage condition and a use condition, wherein the deployable assembly is a monopolar assembly comprising a sheath assembly (210) and an energizable member (220) whereby the shaft (80), the end effector assembly (100), the drive assembly (140), the knife assembly (160) and the deployable assembly (200) are rotatably fixed relative to one another and are capable of being rotated relative to the housing (20) and in cooperation with one another via rotation of the rotation wheel (72) the surgical instrument further comprising a deployment and retraction mechanism for selectively deploying and retracting the deployable assembly.
