PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus providing high uniformity of a static magnetic field.SOLUTION: The MRI apparatus includes an MRI body 200, a control device for controlling operation of the MRI body 200, and a bed on which a subject is placed. The MRI body 200 includes: static magnetic field generators 300, 400 for generating a static magnetic field on an observation area 204 gradient magnetic field generators 210, 211 for generating a gradient magnetic field and RF pulse irradiation coils 214, 215. The static magnetic field generators 300, 400 include coils 320, 420 for generating magnetic fluxes, and magnetic materials 318, 418 for uniformizing the magnetic fluxes.
