The invention relates to a process for producing silicate clinker used for carrying out dental cement. According to the invention, the process consists in dissolving metal salts under magnetic stirring up to a clear solution free of deposits and then separately the silicon oxide-tetraethyl orthosilicate-bringing alkoxide is hydrolized at an alkoxide : distilled water ratio of 1:4, for 90 minutes, up to a clear solution, further on the two solutions are homogenized for 4 hours at a temperature of 60°C, after which the mixture is maintained without stirring at a temperature of 70°C to result in a viscous gel which is dried, the resulting powder is shaped as briquettes and thermally treated at a temperature of 1200...1300°C, followed by the sudden cooling in air, the obtained product having sizes of up to 20 &mum and a content of 0.2...1.6% free calcium oxide.
