The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating neurofibromatosis type 2 syndrome, wherein a compound (TEW 7197) according to the present invention can promote cell differentiation with TGF-beta receptor 1 (TβR1) kinase inhibitors, and can inhibit the growth of NF2-deficient schizophrenic cell lines and mouse embryonic fibroblasts. Also, the compound inhibits benign tumor generation and growth in the NF2 mouse model (Postn-Cre；NF2f/f), and can increase the sensitivity of an anticancer drug in human cancer cell lines in which TβR2 or NF2 has been deleted. Therefore, the compound of the present invention having the abovementioned effects can be utilized as a new therapeutic agent for NF2 syndrome.본 발명은 신경섬유종증 2형 증후군 예방 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 화합물(TEW 7197)은 TGF-β 수용체 1(TβR1) 키나아제 억제제로 세포 분화를 촉진하고, NF2 결핍성 신경초종 세포주 및 마우스 배아 섬유아세포의 성장을 억제할 수 있다. 또한, 상기 화합물은 NF2 마우스 모델(Postn-Cre；NF2f/f)에서 양성 종양 형성 및 성장을 억제하고, TβR2 또는 NF2가 결실된 인간 암 세포주에서 항암제 민감성을 증가시킬 수 있다. 따라서, 상기와 같은 효과를 가지는 본 발명의 화합물은 NF2 증후군의 새로운 치료제로 활용될 수 있다.
